mesa footswitches and the solo option

Long story short , I bought a used lonestar special. came with footswitch but no cord. Can i use just a regular instrument cable to hook this thing to the amp. It says stereo cable? I tried it and it seems to work...but not sure if thats the correct type of cord.

2. The solo knob on my amp works, you turn it up , it gets louder, howerver the footswitch solo option does not turn solo on or off, the solo knobs makes the amp louder just like the output knob.


I AM CONFUSED. Im new to boogie

you need a TRS cable (aka, stereo 1/4 inch cable) from the amp to the foot switch. less than $20 from GC. That should fix your problem. If not, call Mesa.
