Is it really possible to get more gain out by turning the send/return effects loop knobs at the back on the amp,

because I tried this method before by messing around with these knobs at the back and somehow by doing this

The master channel volume on the 3 channel which I was playing at that time

Began to act as some sort of gain knob as oppose to a volume channel control?

Did any of you guys out there ever experience this situation with your Mesa Dual Rectifier 3 channel before?

there is also an article in one of the forum on this site about this discovery and according to the article it's works.

I found the the article hears what mesa's said about it.

''Using the fx loop on Dual Rectifiers without FX gives you an overall master for both channels and a little extra gain if you turn the send level all the way up''

If you dime the channel master, it will give you more gain. The send control will also do that as well. Then you can use the output volume to control the overall volume. I think there is already plenty of gain already...without getting ridiculous amounts of noise....or possibly overloading preamp tubes.
