Mesa/Boogie Mark III Identification

So, I'm on the lookout for a Mark III and have been doing quite a bit of research into the authenticity of each amp (people definately love to modify these amps), and also looking for fool-proof identification of what Revision each amp is (those stripes and dots fade out after a while)!

I have found a few Blue Stripes and Green Stripes that are suffering from an identity crisis (ie. the color of the stripes have changed from Green to Teal and Blue to Purple). Maybe the seasoned veterans can chime in on some of the ways to ID these amps.

I will start with a question...does anyone know the approximate serial numbers for each stripe's run? I found a Mark III that has a Blueish, Purpleish stripe, and the serial number is 175XX.

From that serial number it's a purple stripe.
