Mesa Boogie Lonestar Classic 212 Combo – 50/100
I love this amp, but it is overkill for my purposes. I will most likely replace it with a Lonestar Special 112.
The amp has not been gigged – it has spent it’s entire life in smoke free environments and most of it at a former bandmate’s studio where it was played a couple of hours a week for rehearsal.
The Celestion Shadow speakers have been replaced with Weber 12f150b and the speaker cable was replaced with Evidence Audio – both were tremendous upgrades.
Ted Weber is an acquaintence from my days of managing a local guitar shop. He's rarely in the shop anymore, but I waited until I could catch him.
I talked to him about the particulars. The Lonestars are a slightly dark amp and the people at Boogie advise against using Vintage 30's (I am a hot-and-cold fan of V30's anyway).
My list of wishes that I relayed to Ted were...
1.) Something that worked well with the tonal qualities of the Lonestar
2.) I love everything about the Vintage 30 except that upper-mid spike
3.) My first amp was a late 60's Fender Pro Reverb and the speakers had this amazing natural punchy compression that I would love to have
Ted's reccomendation...

I will provide paperwork for the transferable warranty as the amp is covered through July of 2010.
These have been averaging $1350 + Shipping on eBay... Considering the upgrades; $1350 with no additional fees for this one seems fair as shipping is going to be fairly steep.
