Ive been a member of the gear page for a while now and have done a ton of deals on there both buying and selling and never once a problem.
The gear page reminds me almost exactly of the boogie board, the way its run,, more proffesional and more mature than many other forums out there.
I believe your right about the gear page rules though.
I would continue to try contacting him,, at this point you have nothing to loose.
And because it was bought without using ebay I dont think paypal will help too much. Anyways I hope you get this straightened out.
Its amazing to me just how ignorant some people are about simply shipping an item or even packing an item. I guess they feel the money you give them is only for the pedal ,, not included would be shipping immediatley or packing it correctly.
Anyways I would love to hear who this Gent is. You know how to P.M.
Good luck,,, wish you the best

I bought a 20/20 from a guy and told him strictly to use Priority mail at the post office only. I told him several times to use priority only, to which he agreed, and he sends me the ship confirmation. I expected the item in 7-10 days but emailed him at about 2 weeks into the wait.....no reply. I emailed him at 3 weeks this time with the open threat of going through paypal to report him as a fraudulent seller...he replied that day! Luckily he sent the damn thing out it's just he tried to save $10 by sending it Parcel Post which increased the delivery time by 4 weeks! The amp arrived last week (I bought it on the 23rd of Oct mind you) but I was a little worried when I didn't get an initial reply.

So maybe try a nice little threat and see how he responds. If no response try to get his contact info and give him a ring. If that doesn't work then just report him as a fraudulent seller and hope paypal gives your money back (i am not sure how they are about that).

There's not a whole lot you can do unless the pedal is worth some serious cash.
