Maverick Mod - Is this Possible???

So I've finally figured out that I prefer the tube rectifier on the clean channel and the Solid-state rectifier on the Lead channel.

So...

Option 1 - Would it be possible to mod the amp to switch rectifiers when you switch channels?

-or-

Option 2 - Permanently assign the tube rectifier to channel 1 and the solid state rectifier to channel 2?

Are either of these two mods a reasonable possibility?

It could probably be done with a high voltage relay.
Might be a mother though unless you have the 2x12 combo. The chassis is pretty tight on the heads and 1x12's!
