I am going to retube my 3ch DR. Can anyone provide info (or direct me to a link) about matching tubes?

If I get a cocktail of 5 preamp tubes do they have to somehow be "matched". What if say later on V1 blows and I have to replace it, how can I ensure the new V1 is "matched" to what is already in the amp?

Are the power tubes arranged in two pairs? I think this means each individual pair has to be matched. Is it better to get all 4 tubes "matched"? I don't think you can replace one single power tube. Is this right?

What is triode matching?

I have no idea what I am talking about. Any help or links appreciated.

For preamp tubes it doesn't what you get. You can get different brands and mix them for different flavors. For power tubes? They should be matched in quads especially if it's a 100 watter. Just keep your old tubes for backup.
