Since I've had my V, I've bypassed the FX loop. I'm not a huge pedal person, so just run the few pedals I have in front.
Here's my situation. We just added another guitar player to our band. The songs sound much better and fuller, but now my solos don't cut through very well. Now, I am wanting to use the solo feature on the amp. My question is about adjusting the master and output levels for a good tone/mix. I play on 90 watt mode when we gig, and usually the master is around 10:00 depending on if we mic, or how big the venue is. When I've talked to people on here who use the loop, it seems like most of them really crank the master volume (I'm guessing to really get the juice flowing in the tubes) and then adjust the output accordingly to the venue.
So if I usually play at 10:00 or so when the loop is bypassed, should I try cranking it to 12:00 and then dial in the output for however loud I want it to be?
