Awesome show! very close and intimate @ Baked Potato in Studio City. dude was using lots of floor/pedal effects with Marshall JCM2000 DSL (not sure if it was 50 or 100 watts?) with Bogner 1x12 or 2x12 cab. Very good guitar player with great tone and technique, blew me away literally. I noticed he was probably using a boost/disto pedal before the preamp (it was sitting on top of the Marshall head) and the green light was always on when I looked at the amp (clean only) for the Marshall. I used to use a Marshall TSL100 in a hard rock band but never liked the response/touch sensitivity (although I used EMG active pups most of the time!)
If you are in LA, definitely check them out. Chad Smith of RHCP is regular drummer for them but apparently he was getting married this weekend so the replacement was "Shane" and the guy totally kicked ***! Very hard hitting and they did funk/rock/jazz songs with a cover of "Oh, darling" with a guest vocalist dude.
Definitely worth the $20 cover. Very loud so bring earplugs (I didn't!)

I wonder if that's what they actually do for a living and tour, etc.???
The guitarist actually shook my wife's and my hands before the show, nice guys...
