Has anyone else noticed that the mark V head seems to come with many different methods for protecting the powertubes? On my head and many others there is a raw aluminum cage that covers the tubes and is attached with plastic clips and then there are heads ive seen with black powdercoated cages. And on some Ive even seen them come with the same aluminum bar bolted in place like you would see on a recto. Is there any real reason for this? im thinking of making my own custom half cover for the back as it seems like the only part of the amp left as an afterthought. But then again I probably wont as if I ever decide to upgrade, downgrade or sidestep I should leave it original.

I think the bar is an early production run and they moved to the cage in order to meet some standard, US or European or both. I'm not good with details sorry. :(
