Read a lot lately about noise from the V . Try using a noise gate. most Multi Fx units have one. Rule of thumb...the more gain the more noise...the Two culprits of noise are the Master volumes and Treble. not to mention the gain control....The more extreme settings, Maxed out controls, the noise gets out of control. That being said, when you are blasting away at a gig with the band at full throttle, I can't here any noise...unless the Music is bad.... Try this ...1 Make sure ALL your amp and guitar stuff is plugged into one source. Like a monster power conditioner. And make sure it is grounded properly. 2. Cables..use good ones...that includes any patch cables. 3. Interference. Guitars and amps don't like certain kinds of lights and dimmers, and other devices like Tvs and such. 4.How close you are to the amp with your guitar. Guitar pickups and transformers do not like one another...esp active ones... 5. Set your amp up for the least noise. without anything plugged into it, turn your amp on, take it out of standby and Fiddle with the controls to see how much each one contributes to the noise. Those are things you can control...But when you get to a gig...and every time they turn on the microwave to heat up somebody's Nachos your amp buzzes....thats a differant story... What have you found?
