I was curious if there was a way to use a line out on the Mark V to run directly into a P.A. system without the cabinet?

Any info will be appreciated.

You have to have a load on the amp or you'll cook it. I have a Radial JDX direct box that runs between the speaker out and cabinet that has a cab emulator in it, it works well. You still would need a cab or load box, though.

Yup, make sure you put a speaker load on your amp, EVEN when sending the slave out as a line out. Why not simply mic the thing though? Guitar cab = half the tone!

We were planning to use it for a church choir loft application. Obviously, hauling a 4X12 cabinet up two sets of stairs is not so easy. Space isn't good either.

Thanks guys

Hey I use the Radial JDX direct box at church with my Express 5:25 combo going to the P.A. system works great.
