Hi all

Hope someone can help

Have just got a new mark v head and 2x12 cab. Had it now for 3 weeks and love it. Switched on the amp last night and noticed I was getting no sound from channel 2, reseated all the tubes and checked for anything obvious turned the amp back on and now have lost all sound on every channel?

Have had a roadking before so have some experience with Mesa tube amps. But my knowledge is pretty limited.

Any help greatly received

if the amp powers up then it's got to be tubes related.

if now none of your channels are working I would check and make sure you dont have the mute function engaged.

Hi

Thanks again for the advice, so far have found V1 tube to have blown which had caused loss of output on all channels, Now have sound on channels again, Now channel 2 has no gain and only a clean tone is apparent even with the gain maxed! Further investigation tomorrow.

Thanks again

Kind of odd? Mesa usually buys tubes that are highly reliable. I think they are buying JJ's right now. Could be a bad batch?

All Fixed..

Finally nailed it down to V1 & V2 being faulty tubes, Replaced them both and happy days all is well.
Thank again for the help. :D

After this post I had problems with my V too. Were your 6L6's glowing? Mine were not but the 5U4 tube was. I dropped mine of at my local Boogie repair tech Saturday. I'm hoping it's just tubes. I only had it for 2 weeks :x

I'm happy you got your running!
