Mark V fx Loop question

Ok is the New Mark V fx loop a series fx loop or parallel? And is it like the crappy Mesa Triple rectifier clean channel where no matter what you plug into the efx loop jacks, the volume on the clean channel drops by half???

It's a series loop. You can achieve unity gain or even make the loop boost volume by adjusting a knob on the back.
