Can any of you current Mark V owners let me know how the amp generally behaves with effects (pre and in loop)?

Some amps work particularly well with effects, some don't. My blackstar HT5 works with them great (nice clear effected tone), my Cornford Hurricane less so although you could argue you shouldnt mess with a pure amp tone like that, I still love a bit of wah, univibe and delay!

Thanks from a potential Mark V owner!

So far it's been top notch for both. I have a gate in the loop assigned to channel 3. No issues at all. I run a Line 6 M13 in front no issues there either, just like the Mark IV it work very well with effects. I find that whatever you send it, it brings out the best in. I have a LP, Tele and Strat and you can tell the identity of that instrument through the amp. Same with effects. It really helps to define the character of your sound.

When you adjust the loop volume, should that adjust the overall volume to the amp when the loop is off?

I'm using an ISP Decimator. Not so much hiss but just noise and feedback in general. When I use Extreme there is just so much gain that I need to control it some how.
