Tried out a more classic look. I really like it! Not too expensive, and they turned it pretty quickly.

Looks great, now do it to the cabinet and you will have a killer looking rig.

A little over $200, about the same cost as to upgrade it when ordering, except I still have the original black one, too. So I can change the look whenever I want.

Mesa did that? It isn't very cleanly done. I like the look but I'd ask them to re-wrap it.

Yeah, Mesa did it, and it does bug me that it is sloppy. However, it is a difficult material to work with and a small piece of wood. I like the look, though. Probably a phone call in my future.

On the contrary, I found that cane is quite easy to work. It just need to be moistened with hot water or vapor so it can be stretched easily.
I used this method for my handbuilt headshell for my Mark III and it worked quite well.

By the way, it looks like we have the same tastes. Your amp looks even cuter, because small is beautiful! :D

Thanks elvis!
Yep! I've even etched myself an aluminium plate for the logo. :p
Though, there are many flaws that can't be seen on the pics.

Enough speaking about my amp.
So back to the topic: cane with hardwood is classy, but cane and tolex like you did is awesome!
