I got myself a G-Major unit today and hooked it up with my Mark IVa combo. I run it through the loop but noticed that it is impossible to get the levels from the G-Major to reach 3db.
My volume settings are master volume: 1.5, lead channel volume: 2.5. I have changed the input rng on the G-Major to consumer and still it wont go higher than aprox 18db. Also my switchable effect loop makes a really strange noise when i engage it, like a high pitched noise that wont let any effect come through. Could one of the preamp tubes mess up my levels?
