Hi guys,

I have my Boss DD-20 sitting in my Mark IVs effects loop - for those who don't know, the DD-20 is able to switch between a -20dB and a +4 dB output level.

Does anyone know which output level I'm supposed to be using for the Mark IV?

On an unrelated note - I recently had a problem where I got a loud pop (very similar to pulling a lead in/out of a guitar) coming out of my amp when I was playing. Happened a couple of times, maybe 5-10 minutes between each time, before I got scared and turned off the amp before something went kaput!

Does someone know why this would happen?

Cheers,

Jason

Yes the DD-20 is an awesome pedal :)

Re: the possibly malfunctioning V1 tube - at the moment all the tubes in my amp are JJ's. Do you think it would be OK if I just replaced it with another JJ 12AX7 without taking it to a tech and getting it re-biased?

preamp tubes are the little ones. they don't need to be biassed.

Furthermore, mesa amps are fixed bias and so you don't have to bias the power tubes either.
