Hi guys,
This might be just the right place to possibly get some questions
answered I've had for some time. Namely, does anyone on here
know exactly (or approximately) how much wattage the various
switches add (triode/pentode, simul-class A, Tweed/Full)? etc. etc.
I usually start out with and play mostly on tweed/classA/triode which
is I THINK about 30 watts correct? It's a great tone. If I need more
power to hang with a loud drummer or something, I can get an even
GREATER tone by reaching around and switching to Simulclass but I've
no idea what wattage I'm at then.............If ANYONE knows basically
what all the wattage settings are with all the various combinations of
power voicings and switches etc. on the Mark IV, I'd sure be zealous
to hear your information! Thanks mates!

A c/tri/tweed 20 watts even less

Ac/tri/ful 30

Ac/pen/ful 50

siml/tri/ful 70

Siml/pen/ful 85..

70 is the best over all smooth tone setting..

Your wattage will also vary depending upon the tubes you have installed...

Just curious, but the Mesa spec sheet lists the wattages as 85/70/50/30. I thought the lowest setting (Class A/Triode/Tweed) was 30 watts and it starts to break up at about 15 watts. I'm sure I'm missing something, could you set me straight? Thanks.
