I have had my "new to me" Mark IV combo in Quilted maple shell for a little over a week and I am completely in love with its sound. I had a .50 caliber + half stack (now for sale) for the last 20 years and loved the tone it had as well, but it was a bit of a 1 trick pony. The Mark IV is sweet sounding in all channels and the channel switching is a dream compared to my old Cal+.
I heard about the IV's versitility, but this thing is just rediculous. I have it dialed pretty well to where I like it, but I am a tweaker so I should be busy for the next several months. I love the lead gain in the Class A, Triode, Tweed power with the volume up! It has really brought my PRS's alive. My old amp definitely limited the beauty of those guitars sound. I want to give a big thanks to the Boogie Board. I got all the information I needed to make the right amp choice by reading the threads and checking out the sound checks.

+1

and I would like to add a special Thank YOU! to Mesa Boogie for introducing the Mark V so the insanely-great Mark IV would be more affordable for the rest of us.

Dont' forget to wear "protection" at those volumes!

My wife is an audiologist so I have no choice on hearing protection!!
