The cord going to my foot pedal spins around where it connects... is normal, or is it supposed to be tight?

secondly... the part that allows it to attach to the back of the amp, is it just 2 pins? I seem to be missing one pin... and than there are 2 extra little holes...

1. It's 'sposed to be tight. Depends on how old it is.
2. Aim for the hole in the middle.
3. Rinse and repeat.

I just got a newish one barely used, and the wire from the footswitch is able to spin around... I guess I will have to open it up and take a look.

You probably just need to tighten it up.
