mark iv combo with evm black label?

got my mark iv combo with a c90and it doesnt work at all for me.have anyone outside some experience with a evm12l
black label ? need a fat/thick metal tone!

My Mark III sounds great w/a EV Classic in it.

I have the EV in my Mk III and use it in conjunction with a C90 Thiele cab. This gives a MONSTER sound !!
