Mark IV and extension cab question

I just picked up a MIV widebody combo and want to hook my 8ohm cab up to it. I can unplug the MIVs speaker but I'd really like to run the 1x12 and my 2x12 8ohm together. What's the safest way?

You can plug the combo speaker (rated @ 8ohms) in to one 4 ohm jack and the cab (rated @8ohms) into the other 4 ohm jack.
