Mark III c+ mod?

basically modding the mark 3 as close to the C+ as possible
Transformers also play a big part mark 3's have smaller power transformers than the C+'s. Unless you have a early black stripe they have the same trannies as the c+
It does improve the sound alot over a stock Mark 3.

so does it reduce the gain of the mark iii? smoothes it out a bit?

Yes, this is the same as a III+.

It doesn't reduce the gain but does smooth out the lead channel treble fizz that is known to some 3's.
