Hey.
Been thinking about getting a Mark III blue or red Simul, or maybe a Mark V, even a MK V 25.

I stumbled over this video some time ago. That sound is friggin insane!! And a good player too!
So, would a Mark III blue stripe be in the same territory ? Or should I get a Mark V or MK V25?

Thanks!

You can get close with the III, but you'll need the lead channel to get it. Or add a Throttle Box in front - that should do it.

Well, to be quite blunt, the Mark V will not be able to make the tone that the Mark III, but the Mark III has no where near the versatility of the Mark V.

As far as duplicating tones, the Mark III is extremely bright, and the Mark V is pretty dark. If you like to have accessibility, get the Mark V. If you want an absolutely crushing lead channel and a nice fender-ish clean with a little breakup, get a Mark III.
