I emailed the seller and asked some questions. This is what I asked him.

1. What is the serial number, first 3 numbers are what I need.
2. Is it simulclass, 60/100 watts or 60 watt
3. Does it have reverb.
4. Does it have eq.
5. Head or combo

Here are his answers.

the serial number is from a mark II B. This amp was one of the first IIC + and was originally a B moded by Doug West himself. It has a plus written on the inside of the Chasis to indicate this, as do all C+s. Its the head, it has reverb and eq, I believe it is 100 watts, and Ill send you pix in the next few days. Anything else that you need?

Anyone know what something like this is worth. I thought there were very few iib to iic+ mods done. I also thought it was Mike B that did the mods.

I would not buy this amp. I would wait for an original or C modded to C+. MIke B told me that is a real C+. Just be patient there are always C+'s to go around.

If its a true B modded to C+ via the board switch, than it's as real of a C+ as any other C+, it just may not have quite as much collector appeal as a "real" C+. Might be a good opportunity to pick up a true C+ at a good price.

I would ask to see if he has any paper work that verifys the mod, or call mesa to see if they have it on record as being modded before I would buy it.
