Picked up a new American Standard Strat to keep my Les Paul company.

What are some good amp settings to try? My amp is a 60 watt Mark IIC+ with Reverb and EQ.

What kind of tone are you looking for, how many guys play strats, how many have the same sound?I shoot for a kinda Walter Trout kinda tone( he uses a strat loaded into a mark 4a)which is kinda meant to be similar to a high gain mark 2c+ setting.I use a strat or tele in to a mark 3 super sixty purple stripe and set it thus volume 8,treble 10, bass 0,middle 2,master 2(ish),lead drive 8,lead master4/5....on the back prescence is 10(i use a boss rv-5 in the loop)every knob is pulled. This gives me a good crunch/lead setting but the clean channel isn,t to hot and i tweak it different when i want to use it but thats a whole different story...hope that helps.

I find anything that the les paul sounds good on the strat sounds as good. i sometimes push the bright knobs in. i also like running the gain low on the drive channel and push V 1.

Good amp and good guitars. No matter what it should sound good.
