Mark IIC+ combo --> Mark IV combo

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the dimensions of the IIC+ combo are the same as those of the Mark IV combo. If this is the case, it wouldn't be a problem to transfer the IIC+ to the combo shell of the IV and vice versa, right?

My IV combo has got a nice imbuya shell and the IIC+ is a regular tolex. Since I'm planning on converting my IV combo into a head, I thought it would be cool to put the IIC+ in the imbuya combo shell.

Should be no problem as long as one of them is not a widebody combo.

Are you sure the boltpattern will work? I thought they changed the location of the chassis screws. I am selling a modern 1x12 and I have a guy asking if a IIC+ will fit in it.

Anybody know for sure?

The pattern is the same. I think it was that the Mark I - Mark IIB patterns differed from the latter models. But the IIC+ pattern is definitively the same as in III's and IV's.
