A friend of mine who has a Mark I asked me to take a look at his amp. He said the reverb quit working on it back in the late 70's and he never had it serviced.
I ended up finding the primary side of the reverb transformer did not have continuity. It was not passing voltage to the plate of the 12AT7.
I can not find a direct replacement for the 185225, I also not aware of the exact specs. Does anyone know if the 550185 is equivalent, or do you know of a suitable replacement?

Thanks in advance for all your help!

I see you're new to The Boogie Board. Have you tried contacting Mesa/Boogie directly by phone? They're extremely helpful and chime in here on the board as "authorized boogie." If by chance they can't help you, which I can't imagine they can't, Mercury Magnetics will rebuild the transformer for you.

Thanks Markedman. I will definitely contact them. I figured I'd get a post started on this, in case anyone else is looking for this info down the road. Lots of great info on this board!
I've also emailed Mercury Magnetics to see what their take is on it.

If anyone else, has any insight, or has had a similar issue please chime in. I'll post any info I come up with.

Just to update -

I contacted Mesa, and Mercury Magnetics and both confirmed that reverb transformer 550185 can be used in place of the original 185225.
The 185225 that i have is open on the primary side, so i can't get a measurement from it, but I'll measure the 550185 when it comes in. I suspect I'll find similar specs to most "fender" reverb transformers of that era.

Update -

The new reverb transformer arrived from Mesa, 550185. I calculated the impedance ratio at 20K:8 ohms.
Got it up and running, sounds great! Talked to my friend, he's anxious to hear it. He said it's the first time he'll have heard the amp with reverb since the late 70's!

When I get a chance, I'll start another thread and post a few pics of this early Mark I
