Hi, I know this question has been asked time and again, but please indulge me. I'm a new-b and appreciate the depth of information on this board immensely...So, here goes...without any warning or other signs of trouble, my 1978 mark I is popping fuses all of a sudden. I did nothing to the amp, except turn it up to about 6 (for the first time, as this is one loud amp for a little house), have since replaced several fuses, tried different electrical outlets, tried not doing the a/b thing with my mark IV - thinking my crap morely a/b pedal shorted it or something - but nothing seems to fix it. Basically, it will play fine at low volume, but if you turn it up it will go pop - fizz and lights out.
Time for new tubes, as many other posts say? Other ideas on what's making my geriatric old amp cranky? Thanks in advance..
