It's my Favorite channel actually, all you have to do is turn up the volume all the way on this channel on any of the three modes and tweak from there and you'll get some pretty cool tones.
Drop B B F# B E G# db

I don't know if anybody has noticed but I think channel 2 on the Mark V it's similar to whole the electradyne amp.
Watch this video and play with channel two on your mark V, basically play with the volume control on channel two. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLpk6H5YX3A
The more volume the more gain it adds

dayum!! I didnt know the Mark I mode that amount of gain on tap!!

this reallllly makes me want a V.

I sold my Mark IV to get the Mark V and it was worth it, You can get so many tones out of it.
And channel two it's much better.

I was thinking about selling my IV for a V, but I just can't bring myself to do it. This is my first Mesa amp ever, and I busted my ass to save that $$ to get this amp. I think I'll hold onto her and try to score a V down the road sometime. I really dont NEED that many tones, as I play mainly metal, but I do really enjoy RHY 2 on the IV, so I'm sure the V would blow me away.

My First Boogie was a MK1. It sounded nothing like that. I had to run an ext EQ to cut the woofy bass on it. When I finally got MK2s, I was happy. No other Boogies can touch the C+s I have. The MKV will be a good addition to my rig, once I scrape up the money to get one.

That MK1 mode reminds me of the early rectifiers.
