Is this a forum member? This guy only has 1 feedback and no chassis shots...

Great to see one of the first 100 though...

Y'know there's so many crazy overestimate auctions on eBay (I recently saw a $5000 BIN tag on a 15" Mark I?!?) which are totally batshit insane, but this one is the first I've seen in ages which might actually be worthwhile. If I were in the States I'd probably go for it at that price - it's history, man!

Or is it just showing that I haven't bought a new amp in a while and I'm getting tetchy...

Some rear panel shots and under chassis pics would be helpful.
Not really familiar with the "property tag" sticker, but then again I'm no expert on variations in early Marks'.
My own Mk I has that spkr sextagonal cutting, and for the life of me I can't see the reasoning for it..

I think that early way of fixing the speaker came from cutting out the 12" from the 10" routing on the Princeton Boogies, maybe just adapted to the production models. Somewhere between functional and aesthetic, maybe? You can see a picture of those early cutouts on the doghouse! And I think they all had the Altec speakers, I remember Randall saying that was the "hot ticket" back then. As for the price, I don't think it's too astronomical, as it truly will be a collectors item, being a piece of Mesa and rock and roll history. As for that 15" Mark I, I think it was a bit much.

Full on agreement on both points.
