thanks man,... I think it's a bit uncharcter of what I consider "the" 2C+ tone. Meaning, it's not smooth and singing,. it's more sizzle and raunch.
but I dig it for this track.

many thanks for taking the time to listen and post.

dude,
sounds great... nice playing too...

a few ???'s

EQ?

master, treble and presence settings?

that sounds like V30s with a "V" eq pattern, but?!?

again, great job; a fun listen!

Even though I like my music a little heavier, I really enjoyed your playing on this track. You have some good chops. Some parts reminded me of Jerry Cantrell's style.

Good tone too!

Thank you very much for the kind words guys.

Master was at about 3, Treble at around 8 I keep the presence on my amp low 3-ish. The cab is a 1x12 recto with a C90 in it.
I don't have an EQ on my Boog, never had one. Contrary to what most Boog afficianados say. I don't think you need one, it helps for the scooped metal thing for sure.
but that aint' my bag baby!

Thanks again cats!

not to justify my V30 guess... but I've always thought the V30 and C90 were closer in character than they were different

your tone sounds great and seems to have less mids and more treble/presence than I routinely hear from my IIC+ w/o EQ
I've tried EQ in the loop with the normal V pattern and in general like it with HB's; I agree however that it's not necessary to get great tones!

I think your guess was accurate because to my ear the V30 and C90 sound very different., I have a hard time getting 30's to sound warm. Where the 90 really is. The v30 have that spike in upper mids and scooped lower mid, I suppose thats what makes them the defacto heavy rock/metal speaker.

But I did scoop the eq on the board to get that for this track,... good ears you have...

thanks again.

Peter
