I noticed the other day on my MKIV when i was putting tubes in that some of the tubes came out easy and some of them took alot of force also some of the tubes dont move when you touch them but some wobble around when you touch them.
what does this mean?

Some tubes have thinner pins than others. Also sockets get loose the more times one changes tubes in and out of them. There is a way to tighten up sockets again. Best to have a tech do that one. If there are no electrical contact problems then leave the sockets alone.

you can use a wood tooth pick!! that should dothe trick :D
well, errrrr, i wouldn't suggest it so quickly without some very good detail! I was talking to a tech at Mesa last year about mine being so tight. He said they could do thing sto loosen/tighten pins but siad it was a very delicate job to be left to them.

Don't jump in without knowing totally what you are doing.

you can google search on how to retention sockets try this link too http://www.eurotubes.com/euro-i.htm

it is a very simple procedure!!! basically turn everything off, at this point you do not have to discharge the caps.... unplug the power cord to the amp, removed the loose tube... insert the tip of the dental tooth pick ( use wood or plastic ) to retention.. squeeze each of the pin holders in each socket so youcreate tension back to the socket.. do more research so you feel confident on how to do it.

good luck

Your follow-up post is much appreciated :) very nice info (thumbs up)

thanks for all the tips but there is no electrical problems and i don't want to break something that wasn't broke so ill just leave it for now
thanks again

Make sure the tube retainer clips are squeezed snug enough to "Bite" to keep them from falling out and you should be fine. A quick visual after transporting is also a good thing. Wiggles are normal tube stuff, nothing to worry to much about.
