Hi,

I'm looking for recommendations for a 2x12 for my markIV. I want the best possible sound quality and it needs to be fairly versatile but mostly used for metal.

The road king cab with the open and closed speaker looks interesting, also I've just seen these on ebay:

Not 2x12's but I'm certainly thinking about the Theale. seems to get talked about a lot. I just wonder if I'll lose a bit of 'openness' with just a 1x12. Are the old boogie cabs good? I'm guessing they are :) I wont have much chance to try one.

I just bought a Soldano 2x12 cab with two 75watt Eminence Legends speakers in it, it sounds fuckin' killer I think. The cab is bigger than my Recto 2x12, the bass pounds on it, and the thing I like about it is I can drive it way louder without having to worry about damaging the speakers.

I picked mine up for about $500.

Dude, by all means check out Avatar cabs. My brother has a closed back 2x12 with Hellatone 60Ls in it (broken-in V30s), and it sounds absolutely killer with both my amp (F-50) and his (Lonestar Classic).
