Ran into a strange problem on a Lonestar Special. Effects loop did not work when switched in, no sound at all. Works fine in all settings when in hard bypass. The funny part is if you pull out the V3 tube which is for the effects loop and reinstall it, the effects loop works fine. After you turn off the amp, the next time you turn it on if you want the effects loop to work you have to pull the tube out again and reinstall. Ordered new Chinese 12AX7 (hasn't arrived yet) tube to hoping that its just the tube but don't understand why it will work if pulled out and reinstalled. Called Mesa and they said they have not heard of this one before but suggested replacing tube and also say it does not have to be a Chinese tube like I have read many times in this forum. Anyone have any ideas if its not the tube??

Well, if changing the tube doesn't correct it...you got a mystery on your hands.

I sure hope it doesn't become a mystery problem. Just don't know how the electronics of the tube sockets work at start up of amp that might cause this problem.
