Lone Star Classic: Why is Channel 1 noisier than Channel 2?

Bump:

I switched the FX loop out of the circuit, and the hiss and hum went away. Could this simply be a tube problem when the loop is swtich on?
 
Maybe it's a tube problem... I would check the preamp tubes first...

Are you using 100watts for the clean channel and 50watts for the dirty?

If yes, then I would check the two inside power tubes too.

If it's not any of those, then I'd take it to a tech cos I'm too scared to mess with the guts of a tubed amp.

Need more info...

What are your knobs set to?
Is there anything in the loop
When the "hum went away" was it for both channels?

If I were you I'd try replacing V2 and V4 (I think it's V4 that is the driver for the loop if not whatever that is) and see what happens.
