Our first attempt at recording something live.

Im using a triple rec with a 7string Schecter.

Drummers on a full double bass Mapex kit.

1 microphone set up between both of us on a mic stand running into a labtop using windows recorder :)

Its rough but we had fun with it.

The title on soundclick is called "Test"

this sounds like a song by dream theater called endless sacrafice. sort of a bit boomy, and i can't really hear the guitar that well, almost like it's lost in the mix. other then that great!

I like dream theater I have thier new one Chaos and a couple older ones, A change of seasons, When dream and day unite, and Images and words.

Not sure if I have heard endless sacrifice, I'll have to look it up on Youtube.

Thanks for the comments though! Yes im gonna have to move that mic around some, the drummer hits way to hard. The triple rec is around 12 output and channel 3 master around 12. He still is drowning me out!

His only put around 14 hrs of play on that drumkit brand new and he put his foot pedal through one of the bass heads already. Those 40$ bass heads will add up quick at his rate of play :)

Very cool. what kind of mic did you use? it's good for just one mic.

Im not exactly sure we bought it at walmart for like 20 bucks

We are gonna head down to GC this weekend and pick up something better :)

weird. the other day i was jamming with my friend who i am going to record a solo albm for. hes a drummer. so we wanted to get some chesmitry as we havent played in years togethger. he finished touring so we were just jamming. i had one room mic set up. i was playing through a mark iv. i thought i must be the only person to do this. it was for me to just listen on my ipod at home to write down some ideas for songs for him to record. all of this is literally improvised on the spot so me, speaking for both of us, apologize for sloppy playing.

Aramism, That Drummer can Sure Play! He sounds killer! And the quality is pretty good for one mic. I wish my drummer would tune his ******' kit :x

Your Guitar **** sounds Killer! It sounds very 'Groovy'.. Tone is Off the Chain. :) [/quote]
