I use a 1u rack Rane sm 8/2 (8 channel stereo or 16 channel mono) with basic volume, pan and 2 x fx sends per channel.
These particular models are fairly old now, but used to be (and maybe still are) the one you'd find in the keyboard racks of the pro touring world.
Their short signal path and audio transparency are the plus points.

it's stereo, takes a regular boss 9vdc adapter, 1/4 rack size. doesn't have individual channel/input leveling, but you can set your particular fx outputs.

seems pretty simple to me.

here's a noob question why do u guys use line mixers? multiple amp? a way to split signal to have parallel fx? split signal in a gcx to use multiple preamp 1 power amp? Im looking on ways to improve my rig and Im wondering why evry1 is using a line mixer and if I should get 1..

I'll second the Rane. I've got two of them. Been using them since 1992 and never had a problem. Just simple line mixer with very little noise. They make a great splitter as well.
