i just bought a used lexicon mpx-g2. I like it a lot so far, very high quality effects and pretty transparent.
i was wondering if anyone else here uses a G2 and could help me out with the JamMan function. I can get it to work fine when I am manually operating it from the unit itself, but when I try to control it with my MIDI pedal, it doesnt seem to work right. I can get the start/stop function and clear loop function to work, but i can't get the Layer function to work. I engage start/stop of the loop and then when i have recorded the loop i engage layer until it says 'looping' but when i play more notes it keeps layering / adding more to the loop. If anyone could walk me through the process of controlling the JamMan w/ MIDI pedals I would really appreciate it. The manual for the mpx-g2 is among the worst I've ever read. It tells you what it can do, but then it's very vague in telling you "how" to do it.
Also, I would really like to know how to program the G2 so the JamMan record function will sync to external MIDI clock. thanks!
