Pretty funny!

I think my wife is cheating on me. I'm a working musician and travel a lot. I've been noticing lots of strange things when I get home.

Her mobile phone rings, and she steps outside to answer it. Or she says, "I'll call you back later." When I ask her who called, she gets evasive. Sometimes she goes out with friends and comes home late, getting dropped off around the corner and walking the rest of the way. I once picked up the extension while she was on the phone, and she got very angry.

Now a buddy of mine who plays guitar in a band called me to see if he could borrow my guitar amp. He mentioned that my wife and some guy have been to his gigs. That's when I got the idea to find out for myself what was really happening. I said, "Sure, you can use my amp, but I want to hide behind it at the gig to see if my wife shows up with anyone." He agreed.

Saturday night came, and I slipped behind my Mesa Boogie half stack to get a good view. I could feel the heat coming off the back of the amp. It was at that moment, crouching down behind the amp, that I noticed that one of the tubes was not glowing as bright as the others.

Is this common, or should I be worried about it? If it is a problem, can I possibly fix it myself, or do I need to take it to a tech?

Thanks,
Very Concerned

Yup, that one made its round. That like if someone told this one:

Q: "How do you shut up a guitarist that plays Rock?"

A: "Put sheet music in front of him"

Sorry, didn't know.

First time for me. And I thought I'd heard all the other musician jokes already, especially drummer jokes. Guess I haven't geeked out about my gear enough.
