Ok, I know there are other threads on this but they really aren't very helpful. I would like this thread to get to the bottom of the Lamb of God tone... with pictures, your ears, videos, w/e. I have tried a setting that I found online and it didn't nail the lamb of God tone. I would like to nail it. Any body who knows anything in the ways of their settings please post here!. I'm especially interested in the Ashes of the Wake tone. Thanks

Which DVD and what time? I looked through both of them couldnt find the gear review?

Oh dear another LoG thread. First of all, there have been a lot of helpful threads, check the search feature.

I'm guessing you have the Mark IV so personally I find the Lead channel with no EQ sound similar to their old stuff and their new album Wrath since they are both pretty mid heavy albums and the way they have been mixed. Lead with EQ is a good start to get a sound like AOTW. Your technique and how tight you play is a huge factor on sounding similar, I've noticed that ever since I got the MarkIV I've been using less gain, it's around 5.5 - 6 now instead of the usuall 8 I keep seeing.

So to get a AOTW type sound I would aim for a bright, not too much gain, and slightly scooped setting. Don't get so caught up in gathering up settings that Willie and Mark have used, they have their own style and sound.
