Hey there,

Anyone tried a klon(e) with the big V?

If so, would you pls share your experiences from gigging and recording?
I plan to use it as a tone shaping device, not so much as a boost or OD.

Also, what about a parametric EQ in the loop?
Anyone tried one?

Thanks

Yes I have. I recently sold the Klon. It was a good pedal sounded good for low gain stuff but not suited to my requirements.

I was expecting something amazing after everything I have read about it but it really is just another pedal, nothing really special about it. I wanted to use it as clean boost. It did that well but I think the buffer in my GCX switcher does it much better.

Save yourself the money and disappointment and buy a clone but if your anything like me you have to find out for yourself.

Thanks,
yeah I'm getting a clone, not the real one.

I used one in the past and liked it; always on tone shaping type of pedal, not much boost or gain out of it.
Just hadn't tried it with the MkV

I have a Klone. I bought it because I'm one of those people that has to see it for themselves. I found that it lived up to the hype and did exactly what everyone says it does but I personally couldn't find a use for it so I parked it on the shelf.

If I was a low gain guy this pedal would be fabulous. With a Mark V... it's a bit like pissing into a firehose.
