So I just got my Studio Preamp delivered, and it looks awesome!

Just came home from plugging it in aswell, and I got a few Q's

First off - Footswitches!

This thing has a footswitch jack on the front, as well as 3 different jacks in the back. (eq, reverb, eq+rev)

What switches do i need? Can i just make a simple switch and plug it in, or buy a simple whatever-brand 1-button footswitch and plug it in wherever i want it?

I take it the front one switches rhythm/lead aswell.

Another question!

The graphic eq is MONSTROUS, and makes a huge difference, but i noticed the treb/mid/bass are VERY subtle when moved, not really sensitive as i thought, and what i noticed the most was the bass not getting alot bassier, but flubbier/looser perhaps.

Is this normal?

The Studio Pre uses standard plain-jane footswitches. The lead/rhythm switch jacks on the front and back do exactly the same thing. You can optionally switch the reverb and EQ if you get footswitches for those. I'm not sure about the eq+rev jack--it might take a dual footswitch (as in a TRS plug).

What you describe with the EQ is normal. Since the tone stack is before the gain, those controls mainly change the character of the drive sounds. Most people run treble around 7, mids between maybe 4 and 7, and bass around 1.
