Reading all these loop mod threads lately, I thought I'd give it a try with my rectoverb combo. It took me about 30 minutes in total to take it apart, unsolder the two wires and put it all back together. Its so much better now! I can actually hear my effects and crank the effect levels up without getting that nasty clipping noise. An amp tech was gonna charge me $125 to do it, so I saved myself some cash!

I think the loop mod should be a sticky since there's always people asking how to do it.

I had that done to the single recto i had. It was awesome.

$125 is just ridiculous. All amp techs and guitar techs charge way to much to do simple things...

*All*?

Yes, $125 is ridiculous. I would have charged $30. (And given the amp a quick check-over while I was in there too.) Is that way too much?
