I searched the forum but could not find an answer two problems:
1, EQ on/off
a) If I set EQ switches to MD (MIDI or FTSW) control, should the amp remember whether the EQ is on or off after switching back and forth say from ch2 to ch3?
b) If I set EQ switches to specific EQ (1 or 2) control, should the amp remember whether the EQ is on or off after switching back and forth say from ch2 to ch3 if I have switched it off with the FTSW?
In both of the above cases, it just reverts to default - i.e. off in case a and on in case b
2. Cable test
I had MESA send me a replacement foot switch due to an LED issue and the supposedly "new and tested" replacement does the 5-flashes indicating a failed cable - the odd thing is the same cable works perfectly with the original foot switch.
I even tried the 7-pin MESA cable from by Multiwatt DR and it behaves exactly the same.
What are the odds on teh new foot switch having lost programming?
