john petrucci youtube of Mark V minus the IIC+ mode.

Ya'll probably yacked about this earlier but I couldn't find it. I watched the Mesa youtube vids of John Petrucci giving his demo of the Mark V. I totally scratch my head why he just side steps giving a demo of the Mk IIC+ setting. Wasn't he a big proponent of the IIC+ ???

He seemed to want to sell the mid scooped out sound that many amps can do these days.

Of course thats why I post this here in the old school Mark series...I'd likely get beat up in the after 1991 posts...

The other videos that he actually demos of the Mark V certainly doesn't do the amp justice AT ALL. Rather than sounding like a Mark, it sounds like a Rectifier. First thing I'm doing when purchasing my V is taking out the stock tubes.
