Hi all, I am trying to replicate a Joe Bonamassa guitar tone on my Mesa Boogie Mark V. I realize he uses Marshalls. I am assuming that I should be exploring tones with Channel 2 with or without a Tube Screamer. I have a Ibanez TS9 tube screamer (Bonamassa uses a TS808 and various others).

I typically scoop my mids out but I am assuming that I should not do that for his tone.

Any guidance would be duly appreciated!

Thanks

RK

leave the mids, cut highs almost completely out.

go to channel one tweed and run the gain up to where the tone easily breaks up.....set it on bold and then engage the tube screamer and hook up a les paul.....that should get you in the ballpark.

Thank-you.

I did what you said and then purchased a Pork Loin overdrive from Way Huge.
