I have a 1982 4X12 Boogie cab and the plasic 1/4 " jack cup cracked. Is there anywhere that I can find a part like this?

Ok guys, I guess it's a foregone conclusion that there are no parts available for 27 year old Boogie cabs. :( :x Oh well, I suppose that's what duct tape is for.

I ran across this recently while looking for cab parts.

Will that work?

Another idea might be to replace it with a flat metal/plastic plate that will cover the original opening. Maybe cut a circle out of an old pickguard???? Not sexy, but might be more reliable than duct tape.

The cup is rectangular. I should have taken a picture. I stacked the cab back up against the wall and the thing is too heavy for me (4 EVM 12Ls) to hoist up and down for a couple of pictures.

I guess rigging something like you suggest would be more durable and reliable, but I don't want to drill any holes in the cab. Plus, I don't gig with it anymore, so the duct tape should be fine for now.

Plastic can be a wonderful product and also can be easily broken and cheap. A metal cup would have lasted forever. I guess the new cabs have metal cups.

I did talk to Mesa Boogie and they have nothing. I wonder how many of these things they tossed out during house cleaning.

The old style jack cup has a rectangular flange but the hole it goes in on the back panel of the cab is round.
The round hole is just on the edge of being too large to screw on the mojo jack plate. But it can be done.

But if you mean the jack plate itself is rectangular like this one then they are still available.

GD_NC's idea of putting a plate over the old round hole has merit.
I'd suggest metal versus a plastic cover plate because when you drill the hole for the jack the plastic may break.
This depends on what tools/ drill bits you have available to make the hole.
Then again you may want to make the opening larger to fit a rectangular jack cup.

The jack plate is a lot deeper than the one picture, though the one pictured looks like it might fit. Here is a pic of the cup.
