Is there something up with my gain?

On my Roadster I have my gain at around 1 or 2 o'clock. When I move it up just a little bit, like the smallest turn, I all of a sudden get a really compressed tone and have to crank my mids because the mids totally disappear. My pickups are set pretty low which is why I have the gain set this high to get more output and "crunch".

Kinda sounds like you have one side of a preamp tube dying or something. What channel are you talking about?

Oops, I forgot to mention that. I'm using channel 4 in vintage mode.

I thought so... I have been cranking my amp lately, that's probably wearing them down faster.

So this is either a V2 or V3 problem right? I should change my V3 anyway since it's not Chinese.
